Ocala.com reported today on a Marion County Sheriff's deputy's vehicle that was rear-ended in Silver Shores late Wednesday night. The 62-year old man was charged with driving under the influence. Officials say Deputy Pam Race had stopped at the intersection of Dogwood Road and Baseline Road when Robert Dalton failed to stop and struck Race's vehicle in the back. Paramedics Rescue Three From Burning Vehicle

... and bursting into flames. This occurred on the 5100 block of South State Street. The car crash left the driver and two passengers trapped inside the vehicle. While battling the flames, two paramedics were able to free the three. The driver suffered head injuries, but all of the victims survived despite the personal injuries and are currently recovering at Chicago hospitals.
